About . . . Clothes Washer and Dryer
For the main house, laundry detergent is provided. To our Casitas, we'll get you started, but then it's up to you. Please do adhere to the suggested amounts. Apparently, they're accurate, really.
Laundry Appliances
In the main house, the washer and dryer are full-sized and quite straight-forward. In apartment #1 and #2 with the combined washer-dryer units, we're learning all of the time.
While wonderfully convenient and efficient, these single-unit washer-dryer combination machines take a long time to complete a full cycle, and take very small loads and very little detergent.
You may need to experiment to identify how many clothes equals 2 cu ft. of laundry, or the Operators Manual may have some suggestions for how to make that determination.

We have the operations manual for you but no video of your Magic Chef washer-dryer.
Two IMPORTANT things you need to know:
1. What we've figured out is that the machine door will remain locked until the completion of the DE-WRINKLE cycle. Not even unplugging the machine (by flipping the circuit breaker) will unlock the door. Otherwise it works beautifully.
2. If you have managed to get the washer-dryer to "freeze up" so it will not restart or do anything, REBOOT the little guy by turning off and then on the circuit breaker (which is in the bedroom).
3. The latest we've learned is that upon occasion this little guy will not open its door at the end of the drying cycle. When this occurs, turn off then on the circuit breaker AND set the dryer to a minimal operation, like Quick. The doors will open at the end of this cycle.
